Substrate with wood fiber for balcony plants. Contains only a small amount of peat. The peat is substituted by renewable raw materials, such as wood fiber and matured compost.
Substrate with wood fiber for balcony plants is made with a smaller amount of high-quality transitional and fen peat, wood fiber, bark compost, a combined mineral fertilizer with trace elements and finely ground dolomitic limestone. The substrate is characterized by its optimally balanced organic matter content and suitable soil acidity. It contains the necessary amounts of both primary and trace nutrients. Thanks to its structure and other physical properties, it ensures proper air access to plant roots, good water retention, and favorable thermal conductivity even at lower ambient temperatures. It accelerates the rooting of flowers and promotes healthy root system development.
Scope and method of use:
This substrate is a ready-to-use growing medium for repotting and growing geraniums, petunias, begonias, fuchsias, marigolds, verbenas, and other balcony flowers with similar requirements. The substrate is suitable for growing in pots, balcony (window) planters, and stoneware troughs. When repotting, ensure proper water drainage from pots or planters, gently rub the root ball of the plant you are repotting in order to remove excess soil and any dead roots. Cover the bottom of the pot with the substrate, place the plant loosely inside, add more soil and tap it down, then lightly firm it and add as needed until the soil reaches roughly 2 cm below the top rim of the pot. Add the correct combined fertilizer during growing season. Be sure to follow other general gardening principles.
